Timing the car shipment around your move
Two main playbooks. First: car ships a day or two before household goods leave, so you fly to the new address and the car arrives within a day of your household goods. This works for cross-country moves where you'd rather not drive. Second: car ships a few days after household goods, so you have a vehicle during pickup and packing days at the origin and a rental at the destination during the transit window. Both work; the right one depends on whether you have a vehicle at the destination already.
Corporate relocation packages
If your employer is covering relocation costs, we can invoice them directly. Most relocation benefits packages include vehicle shipping — we provide the documentation your HR or relocation specialist needs (W-9, COI, itemized invoice). Tell us at quote time if you'll be expensing it.
Two-vehicle households
If you're shipping two vehicles, mention both at quote time — many carriers can take both on the same trailer and the second-vehicle rate is usually discounted. If timing requires separate trucks, we can stagger them so both arrive within a few days of each other.
