Sub-classes and trailers
1-ton and 2-ton micros (Bobcat E10, Kubota K008) ship on a small flatbed or even a pickup-bed trailer. 3–5 ton mini excavators ship on a standard flatbed or hotshot. 6–10 ton (Cat 308, Kubota KX080) move to a step-deck or gooseneck because of weight.
Tracks, blade, and bucket
Operator drives the machine up the ramp, rotates the house, lowers the blade and bucket to the deck, engages travel lock, shuts down. Chains at all four corners plus one across the boom for securement.
Multi-unit and rental fleet moves
Two to three mini excavators commonly ship together on a single trailer. Rental fleets and dealers get volume rates for repositioning.
