Why skid steers are the cheapest construction ship
Skid steers are compact, light, and fit on any flatbed or hotshot trailer. No permits, no escorts, no special trailers — which makes them one of the cheapest pieces of construction equipment to move.
Compact tracked loaders (CTL — Bobcat T-series, Cat 299D) cost slightly more than wheeled skid steers because of weight (8k–12k lbs vs 5k–7k for wheeled).
Loading and securement
Operator drives the machine up the trailer ramp, lowers the bucket to the deck, engages parking brake, shuts down. Four corner chains and one across the bucket for securement.
Attachments and multi-unit shipping
Bucket stays mounted. Specialty attachments (augers, snow blowers, mulchers) can ship on the same trailer or separately depending on fit.
We commonly ship 2–3 skid steers on a single trailer for rental fleets and dealers — significant volume discount on multi-unit moves.

Skid Steer shipping FAQs
Can you ship two skid steers together?
Yes. A standard 48-foot flatbed fits 2–3 standard skid steers. We discount 15–25% on multi-unit moves.
Wheeled vs tracked — does the price change?
Tracked compact loaders cost 10–20% more due to weight and slightly trickier loading.
Same-day pickup?
Available in most major metros if booked before 11am local.
